A technical review should lead to a decision.

Architecture diagrams are useful when they clarify constraints, trade-offs and the next change.

A review starts with the system that exists today and the decision the team needs to make. Replacing tools is not automatically a useful outcome.

Follow a real user path

Trace a task through the interface, API, data and operations. Document dependencies, failure modes and access rules along that path.

Separate findings from preferences

A reproducible defect, an operational limitation and a stylistic preference need different responses. Record the evidence behind each recommendation.

Prioritise the changes

Order the work by its effect on the product, dependencies and maintenance. Explain what can stay as it is and which changes should happen together.

Leave a practical plan

The useful output is a decision the team can assess and a sequence it can implement, with clear acceptance criteria.
